1970
In 1970, Peter Wheeler joined Wheeler Potham Ltd straight out of school on the apprenticeship program for electricians.
1984 - 1998
This was a huge period for Wheeler Electrical Ltd and the business built very strong and lasting relationships with Wilmot Dixon and Twidgen Homes - the start of exciting business growth.
1994
In 1994, Derek Wheeler bought out partners after 33 years and renamed the business ‘Wheeler Electrical Limited’.
1995
1995 was important for the business. Peter took ownership of the business and introduced new, exciting clients including Hill Partnerships, Taylor Wimpey, Barratts, Bloor & Bugler Homes, and more! Charlie and Ed also joined the Wheeler Electrical team as apprentices.
2008
In 2008, Wheeler Electrical Ltd targeted the capital for new electrical projects, including residential blocks. New client relationships were quickly established, and the business took an exciting step leading to a growth in demand and higher revenue.
2017
To react to the developing market requirements, Wheeler Electrical Ltd started to offer expert plumbing services in 2017 to help our clients working on new build housing.
2017
In 2017, Charlie and Ed Wheeler took ownership of Wheeler Electrical Ltd - the third generation of Wheeler to run the company! In the same year, the business moved to the new premises in Maulden, Bedfordshire - an exciting new home for Wheeler Electrical HQ.
2022
Richard Slater, Senior Electrician at Wheeler Electrical Ltd, celebrated an exciting anniversary as a member of the Wheeler Electrical team - an astonishing 50 years! Richard has been invaluable and a major factor in the success of the business over the years.
2023
Today, Wheeler Electrical Ltd remains a proud family-run business. With Charlie and Ed Wheeler running the business it continues to operate with the same values it did under Peter (Ed and Charlies’ dad) and Derek (their grandad). The company is growing at an exciting rate, and it’s thanks to Wheeler Electrical's commitment to quality and building lasting relationships.
